Arknights: Endfield is now available on Steam. Publisher GRYPHLINE announced the PC release on October 15, 2026, the same day its new core chapter, "Sanctuary of Ink", went live. The free-to-play game, developed by Hypergryph, first launched worldwide on January 22, 2026, and also runs on PlayStation 5, iOS, Android and on PC through the official launcher and the Epic Games Store. Steam lists a "Very Positive" rating, based on about 1,700 reviews at the time of writing.

Steam launch and cross-platform progress

The Steam version shares account data with every other platform. If you started on a phone or console, you can log in and continue where you stopped.

GRYPHLINE also said the game passed 300,000 Steam wishlists. Every player can claim the final milestone reward, a commemorative portrait frame, plus the rewards from earlier stages.

The update is mandatory and needs a full client reinstall. Players who created a character before it received compensation mails (900 of the premium currency in each of two mails, per the patch notes).

A new story in a painted world

The new main story takes the Endministrator into a world unfurled from a painted scroll. The update adds new main, exploration and side missions, new enemies, a new area and two 6-star Operators, Si and Argent Flow. It also adds new 6-star weapons.

Inn management and farming

You can now run a countryside inn: grow crops, raise animals, prepare ingredients and welcome travelers. The patch notes call the location Yuanyuan Manor Inn.

  • The Fun & Games event asks you to manage the inn and finish Session Tasks. New event content arrives on October 22 at 04:00 server time.
  • Inn Milestone rewards stay claimable after the event ends.
  • The Auto-Farmer, unlocked by the side mission "A Painting Open for Business", plants and harvests crops in Si's Painting. It will later reach other farming areas.
  • Farming now has a Top View mode, tightly packed plots and automatic fertilizing by Operators.

Combat and quality-of-life changes

Several changes help on PC and with controllers:

  • Lock-on: Hold the lock-on button to show a reticle, aim the camera and release to target the nearest enemy.
  • Combo priority: Set the order for combo skills that trigger at the same time, in the Team screen.
  • Gear Plan: Save and name several gear setups for different lineups.
  • Placement: Place facilities straight from your Backpack or any depot.
  • Sanity Meds: Expiring meds convert to Sanity automatically. Overflow turns into Sanity Essences, which do not expire.
  • Shift rotation: Each cabin supports shifts A and B, switched by hand or automatically.

Also this update

  • Controller support now covers progression screens, delivery jobs and stage results.
  • Unaccepted delivery jobs get picked up by other helpers instead of expiring.
  • Camera stickers can be rotated, scaled and placed in groups.
  • Friends' gifted clues in the Control Nexus can be collected and filled in one click.

What's next

Headhunting dates, from the patch notes (server time):

  • Si Chartered Headhunting: until November 5 at 11:59.
  • RE-Factor Headhunting #1 and Issue #1: October 29 at 12:00 to November 19 at 11:59.
  • Argent Flow Chartered Headhunting: starts November 5 at 12:00 and runs until the next version update.
  • The sign-in and guide events run until November 5.

GRYPHLINE says it will also share more behind-the-scenes stories about the game's design. If you are new, start with our Arknights: Endfield beginner's guide before you spend your first Headhunting Permits.
